MICHAEL - Principal Physiotherapist in Paediatrics

B Appl Sc (Phty), APA Member
Michael graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1998. He has more than 25 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist in Paediatrics gaining experience in all areas of paediatric physiotherapy. He started working at Campbelltown Hospital in 1999 where he was able to pursue his passion and develop his physiotherapy skills for children. He worked in the Paediatric Physiotherapy Department at Campbelltown Hospital for 15 years which included Senior rolls servicing the inpatient children’s ward, special care nursery and maternity wards, and all aspects of the outpatient Paediatric Physiotherapy service.
Michael established the Macarthur Outreach School Team for Physical Disabilities (MOST for PD) at Campbelltown Hospital in 2000 working as a Senior Physiotherapist with school age children with physical disabilities in mainstream schools in Macarthur. He also started the local Botulinum Toxin Assessment Clinic in conjunction with the Rehabilitation Specialist from Sydney Children’s Hospital.
In 2003 he started his own private practice, Physiopaedics Children’s Physiotherapy, as a sole practitioner working part-time in a single room in an adult Physiotherapy Practice in Campbelltown. Over the past 22 years he has grown the business, moving to his own clinic rooms in 2012 and adding more Physiotherapists to the team as the business expanded.
Michael is a lecturer at Western Sydney University (WSU) in Campbelltown where he teaches the Bachelor of Physiotherapy fourth year students about Cerebral Palsy and Physiotherapy in Paediatric Rehabilitation as part of the Paediatric Physiotherapy component of their course.
Michael has a special interest and real passion about working with children with disabilities especially Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, and any Neurological, congenital or Muscle disease conditions.

Anne graduated from Curtin University in Perth with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1996. She completed her Masters of Physiotherapy in Paediatrics in 2005 through the University of Queensland. Anne has been working in the area of paediatric physiotherapy since 1999, gaining experience in all areas of paediatric physiotherapy during those years. She has held roles as a Senior Physiotherapist in the Paediatric Physiotherapy Teams at both Campbelltown and Liverpool Hospitals where she worked primarily in Paediatric Outpatients as well as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Special Care Nursery. Anne has also held positions in Community Paediatric Therapy teams in Perth and Canberra. Over the years, Anne has gained extensive experience in managing a wide range of paediatric conditions including orthopaedics issues, developmental delays and disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy and Neuromuscular Conditions.
Since January 2022, Anne has worked as a tutor at Western Sydney University. She assists in the teaching of the Paediatric unit to the 4th year physiotherapy students.
Anne joined the Physiopaedics Children’s Physiotherapy team in 2010. Since the completion of her Masters in 2005, Anne has been recognised as a Titled APA Paediatric Physiotherapist.

LISA – Administrative Assistant

Lisa is our amazing Administrative Assistant and customer service extraordinaire who is the first person you talk to when contacting our practice. From your very first interaction Lisa will make you feel welcomed and comfortable, ensuring that your concerns are listened to, and all your questions are answered.
Having joined the team in June 2022, Lisa brings over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood with roles ranging from Educator to Area Manager. She has also worked as a TAFE NSW trainer and assessor for Early Childhood courses. This shows in her ability to understand, relate to, and empathise with families, with her exceptional communication, listening and people skills.
With her big smile, calm and friendly demeanour, Lisa makes sure that you and your child feel safe, happy and at ease when you arrive for your Physiotherapy appointment. She takes care of all the children, finding out what each of them need to feel comfortable in the waiting room, what they like and ensuring that she has their favourite stickers ready for them after their Physiotherapy session!
